Cancellations, no-shows & disputes
Simple, fair rules so both sides can count on each other.
Free cancellation up to 24h before
Between 24h and 2h it's still allowed, but repeated late cancellations lower your reliability status. Under 2h, or not showing up, counts as a no-show.
Buddy 20+ minutes late?
You can cancel without any penalty.
Bad weather
Either of you can reschedule for free.
No-shows get strikes
A buddy who no-shows or cancels last minute gets a strike. 3 strikes means suspension. Creators who repeatedly no-show are suspended too.
Cancelling
- More than 24 hours before the shoot: cancel for free.
- Between 24 and 2 hours before: you can still cancel, but doing it often lowers your reliability status.
- Less than 2 hours before, or not showing up: this counts as a no-show.
If your buddy doesn't show up
We'll let you know, and your buddy gets a strike. Three strikes and they're suspended from Candid. If your buddy is more than 20 minutes late, you can cancel without any penalty.
If the creator doesn't show up
The buddy can flag it and the creator gets a no-show on their record. Repeated no-shows lead to suspension.
Weather
Rain, storms or a heatwave? Either of you can reschedule for free.
Something went wrong?
Open "Report a problem" on your booking: no-show, behaviour, quality or safety. A real person reviews every report and replies within 48 hours. In an emergency, always call 112 first.
